Try an agent on real-looking work

Two small agents running live on Claude, using fictional sample data. They show the pattern behind every agent we build: do the routine work, check it with rules, and hand anything unusual to a person.

Invoice agent

Reads a supplier invoice, extracts the fields your accounts team keys in by hand, and checks them. Clean invoices go straight through; anything that does not add up goes to a person with the reason.

1 · Pick a sample invoice

A routine invoice that should pass every check.

2 · What the agent does
The agent reads the invoice and extracts the supplier, dates, purchase order, line items and totals. Then fixed rules (not the AI) check the arithmetic, the purchase order, the currency and the payment terms. Clean invoices go straight to payment; anything else goes to a person to approve.

Handbook assistant

Answers staff questions from an approved handbook and shows where each answer comes from. When the handbook does not cover something, it says so rather than guessing.

The handbook (Maple & Co. Logistics (sample company))
§1 Working hours

Standard hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Warehouse shifts follow the posted rota. Core hours for office staff on flexible schedules are 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

§2 Vacation

Employees receive 15 vacation days a year, rising to 20 days after five years of service. Vacation accrues monthly. Requests of three days or more need two weeks' notice in the HR system and your manager's approval. Up to five unused days can be carried into the first quarter of the next year; the rest are paid out as required by law.

§3 Sick days and personal days

Employees have 6 paid sick days and 2 paid personal days each calendar year. Tell your manager before your shift starts. A doctor's note is only required for absences longer than three consecutive working days.

§4 Remote work

Office roles may work remotely up to two days a week with manager approval. Remote days must be logged in the HR system by Friday for the following week. Warehouse and dispatch roles are on site.

§5 Expenses

Submit expenses within 30 days with itemized receipts through the expense app. Meals while travelling are reimbursed up to $65 a day. Mileage for personal vehicles is reimbursed at the company rate published each January. Expenses over $500 need pre-approval from your manager.

§6 Travel

Book flights and hotels through the travel desk at least 14 days ahead where possible. Economy class only for flights under six hours. Hotel limit is $220 a night in major cities (Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa) and $160 elsewhere, before taxes.

§7 Overtime

Hourly employees are paid 1.5 times their regular rate for hours over 44 in a week. Overtime must be approved in advance by a supervisor, except for safety emergencies.

§8 Statutory holidays

The company observes Ontario's statutory holidays plus the Civic Holiday in August. If a holiday falls on a weekend, the next working day is a holiday.

§9 Equipment

Company laptops and phones are for work use. Report loss or theft to IT within 24 hours. Do not install software that IT has not approved.

§10 Information security

Use the company password manager and multi-factor authentication for all work accounts. Never share passwords, including with IT. Report suspicious emails with the Report Phish button. Customer data stays in approved systems and must not be copied to personal devices.

§11 Code of conduct

Treat colleagues, customers and partners with respect. Harassment and discrimination are not tolerated. Report concerns to your manager, HR, or the confidential ethics line; retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is prohibited.

Ask the assistant
It answers only from the handbook and shows which sections it used. Ask something the handbook does not cover and it says so instead of guessing.

All companies, invoices and policies here are fictional samples. You cannot upload files, and your questions are not stored. We count visits and demo runs anonymously, without cookies, to keep costs in check and see which demos are useful. A real agent is built around your own documents, systems and approval rules, and tested against your own cases before launch. See AI agents and pricing.
